Arcadia

Arcadia was an ancient nation on the planet Hejmen that is said to have instigated the devastating War of Eight Nations over 600 years ago. Not much is known about the nation, but what is known is that it had mastery over an advanced and horrifically evil form of power called Divine Magic.

The War of Eight Nations

The War of Eight Nations was a cataclysmic conflict on Hejmen. The relatively dense population of Hejmen and her nearby neighbors dropped by 20% during the course of the war. Occurring over 600 years before the current era, this war was the most devastating conflict in recorded history.

Arcadia was the most advanced nation in the world because of their seating of the Druidic church. Years of corruption had created a host of schisms and minor wars. A terrible and mysterious event sparked the war: a Rupture that condemned millions to death all at once.

he other seven nations of Hejmen banded together and destroyed Arcadia along with all traces of its culture from existence. All records of the nation were destroyed, including the details of the Rupture. Arcadia Island sunk under the boiling oceans and in its place a chain was built, rising into the skies and linked up to the first artificially made moon, Fortuna.

Legacy

The old church was abolished and last remnants of religion was put under strict watch by the new planetary council of Esperanto. In its place, a new organization named the Coven promised prevent another Rupture. In the coming years after the war, they eradicated Divine Magic from the planet, and pioneered the power of institutionalized Magic to rebuild Esperanto along with the newly formed Armada.
